Cape Town
DAYArrive at Cape Town International Airport. One of our FTA representatives will meet you and drive to your accommodation or assist you with your car rental. Take advantage of the rest of the day to see or experience some of the Mother City’s exceptional attractions, or just crack your first beer at the pool.
Your first round of golf in SA will be played at the Steenberg Golf Course, which is rated as one of the top three courses to visit in South Africa. Tucked between vineyards and mountains, this Peter Mackotvich-designed course provides golfers unique challenges on each hole. Steenberg is also an award-winning winery, so you can cap your round with a tasting of some of the Cape’s finest.
The Pearl Valley Golf Course in the world-famous Cape Winelands is a signature Jack Nicklaus design, characterised by green-all-season fairways, exceptional bunkering and the clever use of water features. Your golfing skills will be fully tested on this visually spectacular course.
Recommendations: Let us arrange a peninsula tour post-Steenberg where we stop
off at some favourite bars or restaurants along the coastline between Steenberg and Camps Bay. Beers at the Brass Bell in Kalk Bay, Cape Town’s best calamari at the Chapman’s Peak Hotel, and land on the Camps Bay strip – a whole street of ocean-facing festive bars and eateries.
After Pearl Valley, spend the afternoon at the Spice Route, just outside Stellenbosch, where you can go on a private brewery tour at CBC Brewery. The estate hosts many other wineries and restaurants to choose from.

Knysna
DAY 5-8We have chosen Knysna as your next destination for good reason – golf, adventure activities, bars and restaurants, and plenty of fun. Knysna is in the heart of the Garden Route, an adult’s playground, on a large lagoon and is the perfect vibey town to stay in while exploring the surrounding areas.
Your next three days include 3 rounds at Simola, Pezula and Goose Valley GC; 3 impressive courses! Coupled with the option of sundowners on a yacht and local oysters by the dozen, you’re in for a treat.
Pezula and Simola are both show-offs with sweeping views of mountains, lagoon and ocean, and offer world-class facilities. At Pezula, high on the East Head, rugged beauty and technical challenge make this a hugely rewarding golfing experience. And then, one of our favourite courses, Simola Estate. This is a truly magnificent course, one of three Jack Nicklaus masterpieces, tucked between the ancient indigenous yellowwood forests which put Knysna on the map.
Recommendations: After golf, head to the Knysna waterfront and jump on-board a chartered yacht to enjoy a few drinks on the bow, whilst taking in the views of the famous Knysna Heads. Or cruise down to Thesen Island for delicious tapas and oysters and sundowners on the banks of the lagoon.
Plettenberg Bay is a 20-minute drive down the coast and manages to balance its chilled beach feel with classiness. Here you’ll play Goose Valley, a Gary Player-designed course that is sited near the Keurbooms Lagoon amist fynbos and more indigenous trees, and abundant wildlife.
Recommendations: Post-round beers and a pint’o’prawns at Lookout Deck or a cocktail at the Grand Hotel to enjoy your final afternoon overlooking the Indian Ocean. If you’re up for something more exciting, hop aboard one of the whale watching boats.
On your final day take a slow cruise back to George and board your flight back to Cape Town. Get in touch if you would like to add a morning round of golf at one of George’s fantastic courses before departing.
