DAY 10-12You will be welcomed by a Fairways to Africa representative at the station, who will make sure you are settled and set up for your next 4 days in Cape Town.
Cape Town, also known as the ‘Mother City’, is the hub of South Africa. Being the first colonised area of South Africa, it is rich in history, and many cultures and ethnic backgrounds have blended together to create an intricately beautiful fusion of hospitality, art and people – the perfect place to start your holiday. It is here you will arrive to check in to the Table Bay hotel. Situated on the historic Victoria & Alfred Waterfront, The Table Bay Hotel is a five-star luxury hotel which is situated at the V&A Waterfront and is perfectly positioned against the stunning backdrop of Table Mountain, boasting views of the harbor and Atlantic Ocean. Enjoy locally inspired and sourced gourmet meals at the Camissa brasserie, and daily breakfast and high tea at The Atlantic Grill. The Camelot Spa offers a number of spa treatments, holistic care, laser therapy, and a gym and pool.
Your first round of golf will be at the incredibly beautiful Steenberg GC. Play your 18 holes at this Peter Mackotvich-designed course set amongst estate vineyards which offer golfers unique challenges on each hole, views of mountains and the sea, and the option of a post-round wine-tasting and lunch.
After a pleasant morning of walking the fairways in this premier estate, head to the Steenberg Vineyard for a wine tasting followed by lunch served at the award-winning Bistro sixteen82, also located within the Steenberg Estate. If you would like a change of scenery and some culture, next door to Steenberg is an impressive art gallery, the Norval Foundation, which features a large sculpture garden and the superb Skotnes Restaurant. Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens is also a very short drive away.
Recommendations: Head to Camps Bay beach to soak up some of the African sun, followed by cocktails and cuisine at one of the many establishments overlooking the ocean. The famous V&A Waterfront is a treasure trove of sights, shopping and excellent eateries. If you are feeling energetic, a trip up the Table Mountain cable car offers unbeatable vistas of the whole Cape Peninsula, or you can sit and soak up the city from the top of the open-air ‘Red Bus’ sightseeing bus.
A self-drive or guided peninsula tour will take you from Cape Town to the surfing hamlet of Muizenberg, and then to hug the coastal road all the way to Cape Point Nature Reserve. Highlights along the way include penguins at Boulders Beach, a meander through the quaint Kalk Bay village (best mussels to be eaten at Olympia Café), see the military base in Simonstown and top it off with sunset on the most visually spectacular Chapman’s Peak Drive.

Winelands
DAY 13-15The Cape Winelands is renowned worldwide for its beauty, history, culture, wine, and golf courses. The next three nights you will be based in Franschhoek, a small slice of France in the Southern Hemisphere, and drive to two courses in the area for your golf rounds. First up is De Zalze Winelands Golf Estate and Club in Stellenbosch and this estate epitomises everything the Cape Winelands has to offer – mountains, vineyards, and excellent service. This Championship course is the perfect test for all golfers. The Course has an excellent mix of parkland holes, as well as the Oak lined Blaaauwklippen river which winds its way through the golf estate and comes into play at various intervals. The next day you will jump aboard the Franschhoek Wine Tram for a long indulgent afternoon of wine tasting at the country’s top wine estates. The tram offers a hop-on, hop-off route, meaning you can enjoy each estate at your own pace and taste. The tram service also offers great insight into the history of the area, as well as viticulture practices. Work off your wine tour the next day at Pearl Valley, a serious South African golfing treat on the Val de Vie estate. This is a Jack Nicklaus signature-designed course and is rated as SA’s 5th best course. It has played host to three South African Opens and is celebrated in the golfing community for its opulence and its ability to really test one’s golfing capabilities. Recommendations: Franschhoek is known as the culinary capital of South Africa and offers huge variety in dining options. Some of our favourites include La Petite Colombe, Chefs Warehouse at Maison, and The Deli at Boschendal Estate for a more relaxed lunch. Likewise, the whole area hosts hundreds of wine farms for you to visit for late lunches or tastings. Or, you might like to just unwind at your hotel pool after a satisfying day on the greens.
After breakfast on your final day, you will get transported to Cape Town International. Enjoy some last-minute duty-free shopping at the airport before departure
